License Renewal
The Anti Additive Clean Label Organization recognizes licenses issued by the organizations listed below. If you hold an approved certificate from any of these entities, you are eligible to apply for a current-year renewal of the A.A. EU Assessment License. (Please note: the A.A. registration renewal period in the Netherlands ended on December 31, 2021.)
Depending on the nature and professional relevance of the external certification, the Anti Additive Clean Label Organization reserves the right to adjust its review mechanisms and evaluation criteria regarding the level or grade awarded to each applicant.
A.A. renewal applications are approved only for the duration of the original organization's license validity period. If a license is lost, or if it requires replacement or further renewal after the initial application, additional fees will apply.
Recognized Organizations & Eligibility
EU (BTSF Academy: "Better Training for Safer Food" (BTSF) is aimed at organizing an EU-wide training strategy in the areas of food law, feed law, animal health, animal welfare, and plant health rules.)
BTSF EU / BTSF Non-EU / BTSF Online: Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
The Netherlands (CIVAS is affiliated with the Dutch Council for Training and Education (NRTO), the umbrella trade association for private training and education institutes in the Netherlands.)
Opleiding Natuurvoedingsadviseur (CIVAS) / Opleiding Voedingsdeskundige (CIVAS): Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
The United States (Premier Food Safety is accredited by the US Department of Health; ServSafe and StateFoodSafety certifications are ANSI-accredited.)
Food Manager Certification (Premier Food Safety): Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
Food Handler Card (Premier Food Safety / StateFoodSafety): Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
The United Kingdom (The Safer Food Group, HSQE, and the Food Standards Agency are accredited by the UK CPD. AfN is accredited by the UKVRN.)
Food Hygiene Certificate Supervisor Training Level 2 (The Safer Food Group): Eligible for official holders of a valid Level 2 (or above) license. Note: Certifications across all versions (Catering, Early Years, Retail, Manufacturing, or Schools) are eligible for renewal.
Food Hygiene & Safety Level 2 (Essential Food Hygiene): Eligible for official holders of a valid Level 2 (or above) license. Note: Certifications across all versions (Catering, Early Years, Retail, or Manufacturing) are eligible for renewal.
Food Allergen Awareness (HSQE): Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 (HSQE) — Catering / Retail: Eligible for official holders of a valid Level 2 (or above) license. Note: Both catering and retail industry versions are eligible.
Online Food Safety Training (Food Standards Agency): Eligible for official holders who possess a currently valid license. Note: You can apply for renewal regardless of the specific training module (e.g., Allergen, Labeling, Root Cause Analysis, Traceability, or Vacuum Packing).
Food, Nutrition and Health (Abertay University) / Fundamentals of Human Nutrition (London Metropolitan University) / Dietetics and Nutrition - MSc (London Metropolitan University): Eligible for those who have completed the course and can provide valid academic proof. (All accredited by the Association for Nutrition).
Spain (Bureau Veritas, Preven System, and Coformación are approved by the EU EFSA, the Food Standards Agency, and major professional licensing companies.)
Programa Superior en Seguridad Alimentaria y Gestión de la Inocuidad (Bureau Veritas): Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
Sistemas de Gestión de la Seguridad Alimentaria. Requisitos FSSC 22000 versión 4.1 (Preven System): Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 (Coformación): Eligible for official holders of a valid Level 2 (or above) license.
Italy (Studio SMP is certified by KHC (Know How Certification srl) and accredited by ACCREDIA.)
TECNICO ESPERTO IN SISTEMI DI GESTIONE PER LA QUALITÀ E LA SICUREZZA ALIMENTARE (Studio SMP): Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
France (IFRIA is a French professional food industry service training organization.)
FORMATIONS BAC+2 BTS / FORMATIONS BAC+3 LICENCES / LICENCE PROFESSIONNELLE QUALITÉ (QIAC) (IFRIA): Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
Ireland (Food Safety Solutions is accredited by the UK CPD.)
Certified Food Safety and HACCP Courses Online (Food Safety Solutions): Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
Singapore (WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Course is accredited by Singapore's NEA. Note: As of April 1, 2019, all food-related functions are under the jurisdiction of the Singapore Food Agency - SFA.)
WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Course (ICASTEC Pte. Ltd.): Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
Hong Kong (HKMA is a public sector organization of the government.)
Food Hygiene Manager Certificate Course (English Programme, HKMA): Eligible for official holders who have completed the course and possess a currently valid license.
This application will be forwarded to our headquarters for regional verification and cross-checked with the original issuing authority. Upon successful completion, the Anti Additive Clean Label Organization will issue a license for the current year. (Please monitor your email after submission; the regional association will review your application and send a confirmation letter.)
