Food safety and sanitation are inherently complex. The sheer volume of imported products entering markets from around the world makes regulatory oversight a significant challenge for government authorities. Yet food safety is not merely a public expectation — it is a fundamental measure of how well a government serves its people. Ensuring safe food for all is therefore both a core policy priority and a governing responsibility. Proactive regulation is the true cornerstone of food safety and consumer trust; without decisive government action, public health cannot be protected and social stability becomes difficult to sustain.
To strengthen food safety, authorities have encouraged industry players to establish robust self-management systems centered on consumer well-being. These efforts aim to elevate the overall standard of the domestic food industry and enhance its competitiveness in the international market. Mutual recognition frameworks for food certification have also been promoted to uphold the safety and integrity of both imported and exported products.
