Chef Daniel Negreira is an internationally acclaimed culinary leader trained in the modern gastronomy of San Sebastián, Spain. Recognized early as the Best Young Chef of the Basque Country (2006) and a Bocuse d’Or silver medalist (2007), he later moved to Asia, where he established a highly successful network of award-winning restaurants.

Under his DN Group, Negreira has launched major culinary projects across Taipei, Taichung, Shanghai, and Saint Petersburg. Notably, his venture DN Innovación was named the Best Foreign Restaurant by Miele Guide 2013 and ranked 42nd Best Restaurant in Asia by The Daily Meal. His venues—including Hidden By DNAlmaDNA, and Verde—have consistently earned prestigious Michelin Guide accoladesWine Spectator Awards, and the official "Restaurants From Spain" certification.

His latest venture, Calma 宜自若 private kitchen in Yilan, blends his Basque roots with seasonal Taiwanese ingredients. Beyond the kitchen, Negreira is an author of multiple award-winning cookbooks and a recipient of the Medal of Merit from the World Gastronomy Institute, solidifying his global impact.
